Mammograms

The Ellis Fischel Cancer Center mobile unit will be in Montgomery City on Tuesday, March 23rd. The American Cancer Society recommends women have a mammogram annually beginning at age 40.

Ellis Fischel will bill Medicare and other insurances for the screening. Women that have Medicare coverage do not have to meet their deductible to have an annual mammogram.

Women who do not have health insurance may qualify for the "Show-Me Healthy Women" program. These women must live in Missouri, be over age 50, and meet certain income guidelines. Please call to see if you qualify.

Patients with breast implants are not able to be seen for their mammograms on the mobile van. These patients can be scheduled to be seen at Ellis Fischel in Columbia by calling 573.882.8511.

The Ellis Fischel mobile unit will be parked next to Montgomery County Health Department at 400 Salisbury in Montgomery City. For more information or to make an appointment, call the Health Department at 573.564.2495.
